1.What to do when you have had an accident?
 
  • Switch the ignition off
  • Turn on your Hazard Lights
  • Phone 000 to call Ambulance or Police Assistance if anybody is injured
  • Keep yourself and others off the road and away from your vehicle if it is leaking any fluids (petrol)
  • Record the details of the accident and exchange the details with the other party involved and list any witnesses as well

  • Do not admit liability for the accident. That’s up to the Police to determine.
  • Do not drive an unroadworthy vehicle from the scene of the accident
  • Report accident to Police, taking notes of Police Station, Police Officers name and time and date the report was made.

2. How do I make a Claim?

 

Lodging a claim can be done by simply phoning your insurer.
They may need the following information;

  • Your name, address, drivers licence number, and telephone numbers to contact you.
  • The registration number, make, year, and model of your vehicle.
  • Details of who was driving your vehicle and who was responsible for it at the time of accident.
  • Details of other party involved – your glove box record comes in handy for this.
  • Description of the accident and damage to your vehicle.
  • Police report number
  • Details of any witnesses (important).

3. Do I need to get several quotes?

 

Andrew Pelham Crash Repairs is a recommended repairer for most insurance companies. As a recommended repairer you will only need to come to us unless your insurance company has instructed you to get further estimates.

4. How long does it take to repair my vehicle?

 

Once our estimators have completed a quote on your vehicle they will be able
to give you an estimation of how long it will take to repair your vehicle. Most repairs will take 3 days to repair, however if we can return your vehicle sooner, we will. Also once the vehicle has been disassembled we may find additional damage therefore a supplementary insurance authority and extra parts will be required to complete repair which can mean we will need your vehicle longer than anticipated.

5. How much does it cost to repair my vehicle?

 

In order to be able to tell you how much the repairs will cost, you will need to visit our repair facility so we are able to inspect your vehicle and commence an estimation of repairs for you.

6. Will my vehicle be repaired properly?

 

Yes. Andrew Pelham Crash Repairs use the latest technology, has invested heavily in equipment and training its staff to ensure that your vehicle is repaired to their pre –accident condition
We have also implemented a range of quality control checks throughout the repair processes to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.

7. How do I pay for the repairs?

 

A down payment may be required for Private Work, the estimator will advise you when booking in for repairs.
Andrew Pelham Crash Repairs accepts all eftpos and credit cards except American Express and Diners Club. Personal cheques are at management’s discretion. Full payment must be paid prior to vehicle being released.

8. Who do I pay my excess to?
 

All excess amounts and owners contributions must be paid to Andrew Pelham Crash Repairs when you collect your vehicle. A vehicle can not be released until this money has been paid. Andrew Pelham Crash Repairs accepts all eftpos and credit cards except American Express and Diners Club. Personal cheques are at management’s discretion.
